It's only 8:00 a.m., and I've already eaten 880 calories. Seriously. I had a ghetto mocha in the car this morning and then proceeded to get a Chick Fil A biscuit and hash browns for breakfast upon arrival at Crappy Job.* Eight hundred eighty calories. Oh my goodness.
On Tuesday, I did the same thing. Margaret told me not to worry about it, because I don't do it very often. But then I did it today too! Twice in one week!
I brown bag my lunch every day, so I shouldn't feel too bad about the calories. I definitely eat less calories if I bring my lunch. And bringing my lunch saves a ton of money. If I buy lunch, it's at least 5 bucks. My breakfast this morning cost me $3.18. I have even put an embargo on my grande nonfat no-whip Cafe Mochas at $3.84 a pop. So is it really that big of a deal if I bought breakfast two days this week? Probably not.
The problem is that Big D doesn't take his lunch all that often. For breakfast, he chows down on pastries in the physician's lounge at the hospital. (And he is actually losing weight. Stupid boys.) Then for lunch, he grabs what he can, when he can. Sometimes he only has a few minutes, so trying to hunt down his PB&J in his backpack on another floor can be tricky. And he tries to eat healthy, which means buying the baked chicken with veggies meal which costs like 4 bucks more than the greasy hamburger. (Ironic that hospitals sell such unhealthy foods, don't you think?)
Anyway, so even though it's probably not that big of a deal that I bought my breakfast two days this week, I'm feeling incredibly guilty.
THE SHAME!
Random though: My favorite song this week: Hope it Gives You Hell by All American Rejects. Sounds like something I would have loved in college. Ahh - the easy days.
* I'm going to try to be more positive about Crappy Job. At least I have one. Big D's brother has the best job ever. He's the biggest whiny bitch in the whole entire world (he claims the world is conspiring against him), and he manages to sponge off both of his divorced parents, claiming he's too emotionally scarred to work. He has an apartment in an expensive part of town and has all bills paid, including his SUV. I seriously need to look into that line of work.
